Fish and Chips

I had to take a double take when I drove by this Fish and Chips place in Northridge. It was the big yellow sign that caught my eye, it read... "FISH AND CHIPS, Original English F&C" If you have ever made it out to England, you know that Fish and Chips is the UK's specialty! Located on Devonshire and Reseda next to Shakeys you will find this quaint place. Inside was pretty small and had two "mom and pop" workers. Prices were extreamly reasonable and the portions were good. Now, this is not the place to come if you are starving and do not want to wait. I ordered the three piece fish and chips, and it took about thirteen minuets to get my food. The lag in the time is because everything is made fresh to order. The fish is battered and fried, right on the spot as ordered. It was well worth the wait! The fish tasted fresh as well as the fries. The fish was battered to crispy golden perfection, and not once did I feal like I was eating something that was fried. The tartar sauce was excelent! One of the best I have ever tasted by far (and I have tried a fair share). I was also given a cold bottle of ketchup, malt vinigar and salt if desired. The meu was small but included fish and chips lunch specials, family size deals, calamari, oysters, clams, onion rings, fried mushrooms and more. If you are ever in the mood for some Fish and Chips, I recomend this place! Just make sure you have cash because they do not accept cards.
